Simone Hooymans’ exhibition focuses on animated films and drawings.
In her works, she explores the connection between nature and humans and how different experiences meet each other.
Her artistic world contains a wide variety of creatures that move in a world of plants, glaciers, mountains, above and below water.
It is a world where catastrophes are disguised, wrapped in the kindness of the drawing and the vibrant tones of the colours.
But it is also a world where landslides and earthquakes open for regrowth, with new creatures finding space where old structures have collapsed and disappeared.
