Hardanger fiddle concerts

In July 2024, we have Hardanger fiddle concerts featuring the young and talented fiddler Svein Laingen Kjerland at the Hardanger Folk Museum. The concerts are included in the museum admission ticket.

Concert Schedule:
Tuesday, July 2nd and 23rd at 1:00 PM, 2:00 PM, and 3:00 PM
Wednesday, July 24th at 1:00 PM, 2:00 PM, and 3:00 PM
Thursday, July 4th and 25th at 1:00 PM, 2:00 PM, and 3:00 PM
Friday, July 5th and 26th at 1:00 PM, 2:00 PM, and 3:00 PM

Svein Laingen Kjerland grew up in Granvin, and received his folk music education in Rauland. He is a skilled Hardanger fiddler, active as a soloist, in ensembles, and in traditional music groups, passionate about sharing folk music and culture. Svein works as a district musician in Ullensvang municipality. We are delighted to have Svein perform concerts in July!

Feel free to combine the concert with a guided tour of the museum courtyard.

Svein also performs at Agatunet on Saturday, July 6th and 27th at 1:00 PM, 2:00 PM, and 3:00 PM, and at Skredhaugen in Lofthus on Wednesday, July 31st at 6:00 PM.
