Lecture by Guttorm Rogdaberg – “Sir Sigurd Brynjulvson, Traveller in Law and Justice”

Guttorm A. Rogdaberg is Chairman of the Board of the Stiftelsen Agatunet, a government scholar, and former managing director of Agatunet, a protected cluster farmstead and museum in Hardanger. At Agatunet stands the impressive Lagmannsstova, built sometime between 1220 and 1230. Lagmannsstova is Norway’s oldest courtroom and was the residence of Sir Sigurd Brynjulvson, lawman of the Gulating Court. In this lecture, Guttorm Rogdaberg talks about Sir Sigurd’s many journeys both within Norway and abroad, and how, as lawman of the Gulating Court, he travelled in the service of law and justice.

The lecture will be given in Norwegian.

The Friends of Skredhaugen organize many events on Wednesdays throughout the summer. There will be a small café serving pastries and coffee, and the exhibitions Spor i tid and BEE Hardanger will be open. Everyone is warmly welcome.

Tickets: Adults NOK 125, Students NOK 75, and children free.
