Exhibition of Student Artwork

Every year, we present the School of Music and Arts exhibition, featuring artwork created by children in the visual arts programme at Ullensvang School of Music and Arts. The exhibition is located in the basement of Johansstova.

The exhibition offers an insight into the students’ development, creativity, and artistic curiosity. Visitors will experience a collaborative project in the form of an installation, as well as a diverse collection of works created using dry and oil pastels and acrylic painting. The students have worked with colour composition, colour mixing, and various artistic techniques to create personal expressions and atmospheres.

The artworks reflect the lightness, imagination, and spontaneity of childhood. They demonstrate an impressive ability to express emotions and ideas through art. The exhibition also includes works by an adult student who has developed a particularly inspiring artistic language and technical skill. In addition, several pieces have been created in collaboration between the youngest children and adults, bringing warmth, closeness, and a sense of community to the project.

The exhibition opens on Sunday, 7 June, and runs until 30 August. From Saturday, 13 June, to Sunday, 30 August, it is open daily from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Admission to the exhibition is included in the regular entrance ticket.
