Om arr.

The artist collective BEE Hardanger will be exhibiting at Skredhaugen this summer, from June 21 to August 15. The exhibition is open every Saturday from 15:00 to 18:00, as well as on the Wednesdays when Skredhaugen’s Friends host events.

BEE Hardanger was founded on March 19, 2021, by Britt-Helen Stuholm, Eli T Utne Lillevik, and Eldbjørg Stenberg. The name “BEE” comes from the initials of the founders. The association is a meeting place for people with diverse interests in art and culture, and it offers a low-threshold program including regular gatherings, various courses in art and culture, excursions for members, and exhibitions in the local area.

Their fields of work include mixed media such as acrylic, watercolor, oil painting, textile art, photography, glass painting, drawing, digital art, and woodwork.

Today, the collective has 16 active members, mainly based in Kinsarvik and extending inward toward Odda, but they welcome new members from all areas. BEE Hardanger uses the Fjordahallen in Kinsarvik as a regular meeting place and course venue. Previously, BEE has held exhibitions at Galleri Bergslien and the municipal council chamber in Eidfjord, featuring over 230 artworks of varying scale, as well as at the Christmas market at Krossvoll, Galleri Grimo, the Morelle Festival, in the town of Odda, and several exhibitions at the library in Kinsarvik. They have also organized painting courses with Enver Gashi and Igor Meyer, and drawing courses with Hilde Rønning Karlsen.
